How do I turn off Japanese text so programs installed display English not Japanese?
I was taking Japanese in school so I installed the Japanese language bar in Windows XP so I could read and write in Japanese. Lately some programs I’ve installed display everything in Japanese. I uninstalled the Japanese language bar but that hasn’t corrected the problem. What can I do so that new programs installed display in English, not Japanese?

Sounds like something got messed up. Installing Japanese Support should not change your default language. You could try to check your Localization Settings and make sure everything is set to English. Also most apps ask you your language before install. I’m not to sure on how to answer this question it might be a very simple or quite complex fix.
