How do I prepare Japanese maple seedlings for winter in zone 5?
I have three seedlings that are between 4″ and 8″ tall. They have been out on my deck all summer and have been doing very well. I know Japanese maples need a cold spell in the winter so I plan to leave them outside, but I don’t know the best way to prepare them for it. I live in Chicago and our winters are unpredictable from year to year. Thank you!
