how can i get my japanese maple to come back after a frost?
We had a bad frost several months ago. I covered my japanese maple (which is only about 2 years old), but the frost still got it. I had been told it should come back after about 6-8 weeks, but all it has is leaves that are all very close to the trunk. all the branches are bare and white and dead looking. when you break a piece of twig off, it is dead throughout.
What can i do to make it come back? should I prune it and, if so, how as i would **** to have a tree that is al trunk and no branches. Please help!
